Sorry I haven't posted for a while.  My hubby had emergency surgery and has kept me busy for the last week lol
Look for a post coming soon for my 6x6 album class sample and my big shot class flower broach class!  Both are coming in the next few weeks so I'm gonna be busy busy busy!  :)

Mojo Monday 150

Wow! Where did the weekend go? I can't believe it's been almost a whole week since I've posted last... Sorry for that!  Life got crazy last week!!
Here's the Mojo Monday sketch challenge:

And here's my rendering of the sketch... I did it on MDS again, just because I'm really enjoying using the program! I hope you all enjoy and maybe even play along? 

Recipe for the card:
Base of card is night of navy card stock
Mat for art piece is Bashful Blue
Designer Series Paper is Pear Pizzazz stripes.
I used a scalloped square and stretched it to be a rectangle.
I used the set All Holidays with Very Vanilla "ink"
I also used the edges set to create the flourish on the bottom.

Another use for My Digital Studio!

So this morning I decided I wanted to make up some fliers to put around housing.  I originally started with Microsoft Word, and then had a light bulb moment! I should use MDS and create an original flyer that would catch people's attention! So that's what I did!! Here's my flyer :)

I created this with an 8.5x11 landscape scrapbook album page.

I'm excited to put these up and see if I get any new interest!

Classes for the month of August!

Simply Sent Card Class:
Class will be held August 12, at 6:00 pm
There is a non-refundable $5.00 deposit to hold your space in the class
Class fee due at the time of class is $10.00, making the total for the class $15.00
Class fee includes the following: FOUR cards and matching envelopes and a stationary box to store cards in!

Class size is limited to 10 people, so reserve your spot today! Class RSVP deadline is August 1st.

6x6 Scrapbook Album Class:
Class will be held August 30, at 6:00 pm
There is a non-refundable class fee of $35 dollars due at the time of sign up.
Class fee includes the following:
1. A Simply Scrappin' Kit of your choice from the 10-11 IBC (idea book and catalog)
2. A chipboard cover and back for your album
3. Five 6x6 page protectors, making a total of 10 pages for your album
4. A scrap map to guide you in your page layouts!

Big Shot Class:
Class will be offered September 1st at 1:00pm
Class will demonstrate the many uses of the machine and it's dies and embossing folders.
Class will use various mediums such as vinyl, chipboard, paper, and fabric.
Class fee is $10.00 and a non-refundable deposit of $5.00 due at sign up

My Digital Studio Classes:
First Class will meet September 2nd at 1:00 pm
Classes will be offered consecutively, and will cover various aspects of the program each class.
Class fee is $3.00 per class or $9.00 for all four classes. (that's one class free!)

Here's the challenge sketch. 

And here's my version of the card.  I did this card in My Digital Studio.

Remember I used MDS, however you could create this card with the traditional elements as well.
Card Base: Baja Breeze Card Stock
Designer Series Paper: Elegant Soriee
Punches: Two Step Bird and Branch punch, Designer Label punch, Scalloped Square punch, and Square Punch.
Stamps: Fundamental Phrases
Embellishments: Brads in Soft Suede.
My colors were chosen based on the Designer Series Paper. I used Very Vanilla, Old Olive for the branch, Soft Suede for the ribbon and Crumb Cake for the accent color.

Welcome to my blog!

Welcome to my crafty blog!  I am very excited to share with you some of my ideas and different classes I am offering! I can't wait to show you some of my projects!  I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator living in Puerto Rico, hence the blog name Stamping on the Island :)

I am currently working a lot with My Digital Studio, its a great program! It allows you to create different projects digitally and then send them to the printers to receive some beautiful albums and other projects!  I am currently offering classes on the program starting in September. 

Here are some of the projects I've been working on thus far:

a 12x12 page I created. You can change the colors of your pictures with the program, this time I changed them to match the background paper and accentuate the larger picture.

I love My Digital Studio, it's been a great asset to me in my crafting.  What is great is that I could finish an album and chose to email it to family, a great option for anyone far from home!  Please comment and let me know what you think :)
